Academic Qualifications:

Adel Yehia is a distinguished academic with a comprehensive background in film and television. He holds a Bachelor’s in Commerce from Cairo University (1985) and a Bachelor’s in Cinema and Television Management from the Higher Institute of Cinema (HCI, 1989). Furthering his expertise, Yehia earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Art Criticism (1990), a Master’s in Film and Television Direction (HCI, 1994), and a PhD in Film and Television Direction (HCI, 1997). His specializations include film production, documentary, and film theory, reflecting his extensive knowledge and contribution to the field.

Positions :

Adel Yehia has held various prestigious positions throughout his career, beginning as an Assistant Director in 1990. He joined the Higher Institute of Cinema as a Lecturer in 1994, later becoming an Instructor in 1997, and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2002. Yehia was appointed Professor at the Higher Institute of Cinema in 2007 and served as Dean from 2008. Additionally, he was Vice President of the Academy of Arts, Egypt, from 2013 to 2018, demonstrating his significant impact on the academic and administrative aspects of film education.
