Film Direction

Course in film direction focuses on teaching the skills needed to guide a film from concept to screen. Students learn how to develop a vision for a film, including interpreting scripts, working with actors, and making creative decisions about camera angles, lighting, and pacing. The courses cover directing techniques, storytelling, and visual composition, along with practical aspects like rehearsals and managing a film set. Students also explore the collaborative nature of filmmaking, working with writers, cinematographers, and other crew members to bring their directorial vision to life.

Ahmed Oweis

Ahmed Oweis is a renowned Egyptian filmmaker and playwright with an extensive portfolio, including short and feature films such as Cairoke and Fokkak Mnni, as well as acclaimed plays like Tin Nation and The Sleeping City. He has won numerous awards for his work in film and theater, including the UNESCO Award for Screenwriting and the Gold Award at the Faiyum International Youth Film Festival. Oweis has also contributed to various international projects, including the German documentary Nile, and has published novels and poetry.

Adel Yahia

Adel Yehia is a distinguished film director and scholar with a PhD in Film and Television Direction. His directing career includes eight documentaries, three short fiction films, and work on television programs and series. In addition to his directorial achievements, he has supervised over 20 postgraduate research studies and authored notable books on film theory and practice.

Mohamed Mostafa

Mohamed Ahmed Mostafa Elshafay, is a graduate of Cairo University with a specialization in Program Directing. He has directed and produced a range of high-profile projects including the morning show “8 El Sob7” at DMC Channel and the documentary “The Story of the Nile.” His extensive experience spans roles as an executive producer and floor manager, and He also directed various weekly programs for Nile Drama Channel and served as assistant director for the TV series “REMAL” for MBC Channe
